Jehovah Ra’ah
Jehovah Ra’ah,
the Lord is my Shepard,
may I let go and let You lead.
Lead me to live a balanced life
Remembering You’re at my side.
Chart my course Lord
To find time for those in need
Yet also time to rest in Your word.
Like an over watered tree
With rotting fruit
I’m saturated by things
Of this world.
Cleanse me Lord
As You light my way.
God’s love is reckless

For someone filled with fear.
This leaves me breathless
For I know God is always near.
The lord chases me
I am his child
His love sets me free
His love is great not mild.
God is…
God is holy
God is infinite
God is good
God is righteous
God is unchanging
God is faithful
God is just
God is gracious
God is merciful
God is loving
God is glorious
God IS.
Costs
Bitter hoppy drink
Foam slides over the edge
Brought by an overworked mom
Caring for me more than her own
I drink but I don’t think
Of the cost to myself, to her, to children
What of my liver? What of my work?
Can I get you another?
Full bodied and malty.
She scrubs tables and takes orders,
her children lie in bed hungry
craving something hot and salty.
Bubbly in the head I drive
home to bed.
Instead another bartender
leaving for home ends up dead.
Love Letter
God is the author.
I am the pencil.
With me He writes
A love letter to the world
Jesus’s Love
Jesus died for you.
Jesus died for me.
For our sins he was whipped.
Yet His love for us can’t be chipped.
